An association to support SME-digitalisation has been founded with the participation of the University

The Digimeter – Association for the Digital Competitiveness of Small and Medium Enterprises was founded with the participation of Corvinus University.

Digimeter Association aims to improve the digital competitiveness of Hungarian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Róbert Pintér, associate professor at the Corvinus University of Budapest, will be the association’s first president until May 2029. 

 

The association’s planned activities are: 

  • Preparation and publication of reports, brochures, edited books, thematic and special issues of journals, indexes and indicators, and other research publications 

  • Providing a data dashboard (My Digimeter) based on their research results 

  • Developing a customised or automated recommendation system for SMEs based on research data to accelerate their own digitalisation 

  • Awarding a Digimeter Prize to the best performing SMEs in Hungary to set examples for others 

  • Regularly informing the press about the main achievements 

  • Participation in events and organisation of own events (conference session, conference, workshop, meetup, award ceremony, etc.) 

 

Digimeter has been researching the digitalisation of Hungarian SMEs since 2020. Digimeter’s research results so far are available here (mainly in Hungarian): https://digimeter.hu/  

 

Corvinus faculty and researchers have access to anonymised data files of the research for research purposes. The association is seeking cooperation with experts and businesses interested in the topic. Applications can be sent to the association’s president by e-mail.
