The Grappling MEFOB 2026 university championship was held on April 25, 2026, attracting a record number of participants. More than 150 competitors tested their skills across various categories. The prestigious event took place at the Ludovika Arena at the National University of Public Service (Nemzeti Közszolgálati Egyetem).

László Valent, a student at Corvinus University of Budapest, achieved an excellent result at the competition by winning first place in the advanced Gi category in the 62 kg weight division. His performance was particularly impressive as he won his last two matches by submission, allowing him to finish the fights before the time limit.

In the semifinal, he faced a brown-belt judoka, while in the final, he competed against a blue-belt Brazilian jiu-jitsu athlete, delivering an outstanding performance on both occasions. Securing first place in such a large and highly competitive field is a significant sporting achievement, for which we sincerely congratulate him.
