Start the New Academic Year with Us!
September is just around the corner, marking the beginning of the 2026/27 academic year. Corvinus University of Budapest warmly invites all students, faculty and staff to the University’s official Year Opening Ceremony.
One of the highlights of the event will be the Freshers’ Oath Ceremony, during which our first-year students will officially become members of the Corvinus community.
The ceremony will feature welcome addresses by Bruno van Pottelsberghe, Rector of Corvinus University of Budapest, and Gergely Mészner, President of the Students’ Union. The festive programme will be made even more memorable by performances from, among others, the Corvinus Crescendo Choir and the Corvinus Közgáz Folk Dance Ensemble. We will continuously update the programme with the names of additional performers!
The language of the ceremony is English.

Welcome Party
The celebration doesn’t end with the ceremony! Once again this year, ÖCSI and the Students’ Union (HÖK) will host an after party, giving everyone the opportunity to kick off the new academic year together in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.
Venue: Romkert (9 Döbrentei Square, 1013 Budapest)
Starts: Immediately after the Opening Ceremony, from 8:00 p.m.
