The Corvinus University of Budapest is set to host the 15th Annual Financial Market Liquidity (AFML) Conference on November 14-15, 2024, at the Gellért Campus. This event will convene international and local academic and industry experts to discuss key issues in the financial market, including funding liquidity, systemic risk, asset pricing, and ESG investments.

Organized by the Corvinus Institute of Finance in collaboration with the Game Theory Research Group, HUN-REN Centre for Economic and Regional Studies; ESSEC Business School (France), and Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), the AFML Conference offers a platform for sharing research and promoting dialogue on the current challenges and developments in global financial markets.

The conference program includes keynote sessions from international leading scholars in finance. Renée B. Adams from the University of Oxford (UK), Robert Faff representing both the University of Queensland (Australia) and Corvinus, and Rose Liao from Rutgers University (USA) are among the speakers presenting in person. Jonathan A. Batten of RMIT University (Australia) and Thomas Walker of Concordia University (Canada) will join remotely. Plenary and parallel sessions will cover diverse topics, from corporate finance to market microstructure, offering attendees insights into the latest research and trends in the field.

Attendees will also benefit from multiple networking opportunities. Parallel sessions and flash talks will provide a stage for presenters to share research on topics like asset management and game theory applications in financial markets, as well as discussions on issues like liquidity and its intersection with sustainability. Over 100 participants are expected to attend throughout the two days.

For interested Corvinus faculty, researchers, Ph.D. and master’s students, the event offers free entry to individual Parallel or Plenary sessions without pre-registration. Additionally, selected papers presented at the conference will be invited for publication in journals like Emerging Markets Review and Finance Research Letters
