Annual Financial Market Liquidity Conference

The Department of Finance, Corvinus University of Budapest and the Game Theory Research Group, Centre for Economic and Regional Studies invite you to the 13th Annual Financial Market Liquidity Conference held in Budapest on 10th-11th November, 2022. 

We are organizing the Annual Financial Market Liquidity Conference for the thirteenth time, and we have the pleasure to invite distinguished members of academia and professionals to the conference centered around financial market liquidity. This year, Corvinus University of Budapest hosts the conference both onsite as well as on a virtual conferencing platform allowing for a hybrid and flexible format. The aim of the conference is to bring together academics and practitioners to discuss state-of-the-art results in the field of financial market liquidity. These topics include:

12th Annual Financial Market Liquidity Conference

Budapest, Hungary

11th-12th November 2021

The physical participation cost EUR 350 (early bird registration by 24th September is EUR 250), it includes coffee breaks, two lunches, conference dinner, conference accessories. Online participation will cost EUR 50.

Hungarian academia and students

Faculty members of all Hungarian Universities and the Centre for Economic and Regional Studies may apply to visit the talks for free by sending an e-mail (with their affiliation and whether they plan to attend offline or online) to with “Hungarian academia application” in the subject line, preferably by 11th October 2021. Depending on capacities we will notify applicants by 18th October 2021.

All students (B.Sc., M.Sc., PhD) of all Hungarian universities may apply to attend the lectures of the conference free of charge upon registration by 26 October 2021. To register, please send an English motivation letter (max 1 page) on why you would like to attend and how (offline or online), specifying your name, study level and the name of your institution to with “student application” in the subject line.

Publishing opportunities

Abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings and selected papers presented at the conference will be invited for formal submission and consideration for publication in the following journals.


  • Registration and information will be provided in the hall, located in the middle of the building on the ground floor.
    Lecture room III: the room located next to the hall, southward.
    Faculty club: the room located underneath the hall, entrance from the south entrance, go straight downstairs once you pass the south entrance.
    Rooms 322/326: rooms located on the third floor. There will be arrows indicating them.

Call for Papers

The paper submission is closed. Papers will be reviewed by at least two members of the Scientific Committee and authors will be notified of the Program Committee’s decisions by 15th of August 2021. Acceptance can be for full presentation or poster presentation for the papers that are very relevant but because of time constraints cannot be included in the program. Early bird registration is by 15th September 2021, with possibilities to participate online or offline, also depending on the pandemic situation.
