Study trip to Vienna: IR students visiting the UNO City and the Embassy of Hungary

The Department of International Relations organized a study trip to Vienna for International Relations BA and MA students on the 15^th of April. The objective of the visit was to provide our students an opportunity to experience diplomacy in practice. For this reason, students had the chance to pay a 90-minute visit to the UNO City and the Embassy of Hungary in Vienna. During the guided tour in the UN building, students could see exhibitions and ask questions about the functioning of various UN organs and see one of the halls of assembly. In the Embassy, students could listen to a presentation by the Ambassador Ms. Edit Szilágyiné Bátorfi and Deputy Head of Mission dr. Janka Bán. The presentation was followed by a detailed Q&A session about the diplomatic profession and a short viewing of the interior of the baroque Embassy building. The group headed back to Budapest after a 90-minute free time spent in the Austrian capital.
