The outgoing president of the Student Self-Government and the leaders taking office from February 1 met on 13 January, 2021 with the management of the Székesfehérvár Campus. The future of the Székesfehérvár Division of the HÖK was also discussed at the meeting.

The outgoing President of HÖK, Levente Szabados, gave a brief overview of the activities of the recent period and the transformation processes of the organization. He also thanked the Campus for its support and cooperation so far.

The newly elected President Kristóf Menyhért will officially take over the leadership of the HÖK on 1 February. The new president will start his work continuing the current direction of the HÖK, but according to his plans, after the pandemic situation, they will prepare a number of ideas and draft programs for the next period.

Vice President Diána Molnár, to whom the Székesfehérvár Division also belongs, said that they are very much looking forward to the Campus student camp. The Vice-President sees that the opportunities offered by the Székesfehérvár Campus are in many respects different from those of the KözGáz Campus due to local peculiarities, so the Székesfehérvár Division would like to continue its work after taking advantage of the new office.

Vice President Gábor Pénzes reported on the renewal of the leadership of the Székesfehérvár Division. The management of the group was taken over by Péter Dósa, with whom the management of the Campus had previously worked as a member of the management. Flóra Dobrovics, who is also a pillar member of the Student Government, remains responsible for the events on the Campus. Campus Director Béla Horváth and Rector Dr. Dávid Mezőszentgyörgyi congratulated the new leaders and wished Levente much success in his further duties.

Dávid Mezőszentgyörgyi emphasized that, as before, while respecting the autonomy of the HÖK and the students, the Campus maximally supports the work and programs of the organization. Joining the rector’s representative, Béla Horváth offered to use the technical possibilities developed on the Campus for the HÖK. Both are partners in making more and more colorful student-based programs available as soon as the situation allows to select and also support if the HÖK even brings to Székesfehérvár programs that help the students of both Campuses to spend their free time actively and usefully.

Campus executives are also waiting for ideas in the current situation, because the studio in Building B offers the opportunity to organize online programs and broadcast them live. At the meeting, the participants agreed to forge a much closer relationship. Diána Molnár will visit the Campus in the future severel times, possibly together with other members of the management.

The successful discussion can be considered a successful continuation of a cooperation that has already started, which aims at the further development of student life in Székesfehérvár.
