The European Union's Marie Skłodowska Curie Individual Fellowship program

For the first time in the history of the Corvinus University of Budapest, it can be a host institution in the European Union’s Marie Skłodowska Curie Individual Fellowship program for scientific excellence. The aim of the program is to enable the best European researchers to spend two to three years abroad and to develop their scientific skills further in collaboration with internationally recognized researchers from leading European universities. The successful #MSCA #IF application is an important milestone for any host institution, as it indicates that the University occupies a prestigious position on the international research map.

This year, there was a particularly fierce competition among applicants to the program. 11,573 researchers have applied for this unique opportunity, with the best 4 percent supported by the European Union each year.

Among the successful applicants was Moreno Frau, who received his PhD from the University of Cagliari in Italy and will start his research project called ‘FooDization’ under the mentoring of Tamara Keszey, Head of Department, habilitated associate professor at the Marketing Institute of the Corvinus University of Budapest.

FooDization aims to explore how food firms employ digital data to innovate their production process and how cleaner production innovation influences value proposition. The application, prepared by Moreno Frau with collaboration of the Corvinus University of Budapest and the supervision of Tamara Keszey, was evaluated by the European Union at 95.6 percent, emphasizing its scientific novelty, methodological rigor and practical impact.

We wish Moreno a lot of success at the Corvinus University of Budapest for the Foodization project!
