The University Library of Corvinus University of Budapest has been awarded the title of Certified Library

The University Library of Corvinus University of Budapest has been awarded the title of Certified Library. With its staff committed to quality management, it continuously develops its high-quality library and research support services embedded in the university’s performance evaluation system, innovatively shapes its modern library spaces, thereby contributing to the achievement of the university’s goals.
The award was presented at a ceremony held at the National Széchényi Library on the occasion of Hungarian Culture Day. Dávid Rózsa, Director General of the National Library, welcomed the guests. During the ceremony, Irén Novák, Deputy State Secretary for Arts and Community Culture, and Máté Gábor Vincze, Deputy State Secretary for Public Collections and Cultural Development, praised the profession.
The award was presented by Deputy State Secretary Máté Gábor Vincze and Head of Department László Szende to Mónika Erika Fischer, Director General of the Library, and Andrea Faragó, Head of Secretariat and Quality Assurance Officer.
Based on an on-site review of the submitted application, the experts concluded that the library carries out a number of innovative research and education support activities (e.g., Open Access publishing, scientometric and publication data services, regulation of AI applications, plagiarism detection), which could serve as an example for other libraries to follow.
