Professor Geert Bouckaert from the Catholic University of Leuven, one of the most distinguished scholars in the field of public policy and management, has been a regular guest lecturer at Corvinus. This Spring, prof Bouckaert, who is also an honorary professor of the Department of Public Policy, held two lectures to our students and community. In his open lecture, he discussed public sector reforms and participatory governance. During the seminar, prof. Bouckaert explored performance management in the public sector, discussed the notions of effectiveness and efficiency and the difficulties of measuring these concepts in practice.
