What are Specialist Postgraduate Programmes?

2–4-semester programmes built on existing higher education studies. The course schedules for these practice-oriented, degree-granting programmes are designed to fit the schedules of full-time employees. Their goal is to provide up-to-date knowledge and specialized skills in specific fields.

Who is it recommended for?

  • For those who wish to deepen their existing knowledge and advance professionally.
  • For those seeking new, up-to-date, and immediately applicable knowledge for their current job.

All of our programmes build on some qualification from higher education and some professional qualification (without changing the existing higher education qualification level).

We recommend our specialist postgraduate programmes to those who want to

  • deepen their existing knowledge.
  • acquire current, up-to-date knowledge or special skills for their current jobs.
  • change their jobs by acquiring a new professional qualification and specialist knowledge.

All of our programmes build on some qualification from higher education and some professional qualification (without changing the existing higher education qualification level).

The admission requirements differ for each course, so you can find information about them on the page of the specific course.

We start our courses with a minimum number of participants according tot he educational methods. If the course does not start, the university will refund the registration fee.

We will send confirmation receipt of your application by automatic email. Once the application and admission process has been completed, our colleagues will notify you of the results of your application by email. If successful, they will inform you about the start of the course and provide details about enrolment and the start of the academic year.

  • A flexible schedule that lets you study while continuing your career

Admission requirements differ by programme, since each course has its own prerequisites listed on its individual course page. As a baseline, every applicant needs a prior higher education qualification plus relevant professional experience; some programmes may also include a short admission interview of your professional background and motivation before admission (check the course’s webpage for details).

The admission procedure costs 9,000 HUF, paid by bank transfer or card payment alongside your application. The tuition itself is self-funded and exempt from VAT, and can be covered by your employer or another company on your behalf. If a course doesn’t reach the minimum number of participants required for its teaching method (usually 15 students), it won’t start, and the university will refund your registration fee in full.

Yes. Student loans are available for postgraduate programmes; details are available at diakhitel.hu.

The title depends on your existing degree. If your undergraduate or master’s degree is in economics or business administration, your specialised diploma will carry the title “Economist.” If your prior qualification is in a different field, the title will instead be something like “Manager,” “Expert,” or “Consultant,” depending on the specific programme.

Most programmes run as part-time courses, with classes typically held on Fridays and/or Saturdays every two weeks. Classes are delivered in small, interactive groups and require in-person attendance, since the training is designed to be practice-oriented.
