Starting university in a new country is an exciting adventure, but we know the first weeks can also be challenging. Mentoring programmes play an important role in helping international students settle in more smoothly by providing personal support, practical advice, and a sense of community from the very beginning.
At Corvinus, several mentoring opportunities are available for international students, depending on their study programme and background.
Together, these initiatives ensure that international students have access to guidance and support during their transition. While each programme serves different groups, they all share the same goal: making it easier for you to feel at home at Corvinus and in Budapest.
Beyond mentoring, there are also many other ways to connect at Corvinus, including student organisations, communities, and events. If you need additional support, professional mental health counselling is also available to help you adapt to your new cultural and academic environment.
The Advisory Board Mentorship Programme, organised by the Corvinus Student Union, supports incoming international students at Corvinus. The programme connects new students with experienced Corvinus mentors who can answer everyday questions, share their experiences, and help them navigate both academic life and life in Budapest.

Support is available through the HÖOK Stipendium Hungaricum Mentor Network, a nationwide programme organised by the National Union of Students in Hungary (HÖOK), which helps scholarship holders integrate into university life, navigate administrative processes, and adapt to life in Hungary.
The registration will be open from the 17th of August until the 31st of October.
ESN (Erasmus Student Network) is a non-profit international student organisation, and ESN Corvinus is the local section at Corvinus University of Budapest.
