Self-funded international applicants
September 2026
The online admission platform for the Academic year 2027/28 will open in October 2026.
Application fee of 100 Euros must be paid in order start the official application process.
We have rolling admissions, so you can start the process as soon as applications open and take the necessary exams as soon as you feel ready.
Application process:
- Step 1 Submit the online application form on DreamApply and pay the application fee (100 Euro). At the time of submitting your application, please upload all required documents that are available to you at that time.
- Step 2 Admissions team reviews the application and sends out necessary exam invitations
- Step 3 Written exam (if required)
- Step 4 Oral exam (if required)
- Step 5 Admissions team announces exam results, runs the document recognition process and sends out offer
- Step 6 Fee payment
- Step 7 Issuance of Admission Decision
- Step 8 Submit final diplomas and certificates by 1 August
Our application platform is open for applications for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes.
We have simplified the schedule of our written and oral entrance examinations.
The table below will help you manage your application and admissions process. It shows you how to time your written entrance exam, if your chosen programme requires one, or the uploading of your exemption documents to DreamApply. This will ensure that you can be invited for the earliest available oral examinations if your chosen programme requires this, or help you proceed to the next stage of your admissions process and to receive your Admissions Decision as early as possible:

Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship applicants
Applications for the September 2027 intake is expected to open in October.
Applications must be submitted via the Stipendium Hungaricum website, managed by Hungary’s Tempus Foundation. The University takes care of the following steps:
- Admissions process, including entrance examinations (April-May)
- Credit (only on master’s level) and diploma recognition (July)
- Unconditional letter of acceptance for your programme of study (July)
- Enrolment (September)

*If you are a Master’s applicant, we are going to proceed with the credit recognition process in July. Acceptance Letters are issued after a successful credit acceptance.
If you are NOT NOMINATED for the scholarship, but you wish to continue as a self-funded applicant
- You will be eligible for a 20% discount on your first year’s tuition fee
- Register on our self-funded portal here
- Fill out your profile and upload your documents
- Mark that you were a Stipendium Hungaricum applicant for the current intake at the relevant section of the application form
- Pay the 100 EUR application fee after submitting your application
- Take the necessary entrance exams or submit exemption documents
If you pass the entrance exams, but you are NOT ALLOCATED the scholarship, and wish to continue as a self-funded student
- You will be eligible for a 20% discount on your first year’s tuition fee
- You will be informed about the way of self-funded registration in due time, after the scholarship decision is announced
- Fill out your profile and upload your documents
- Mark that you were a Stipendium Hungaricum applicant for the current intake at the relevant section of the application form
- Pay the 100 EUR application fee after submitting your application
- We will transfer your exam results and move your application forward
If you have started a self-funded application earlier this year, but you were waiting for the nomination:
- In case you have taken the entrance exam, your scores will be transferred to the Stipendium Hungaricum application. If you need to take additional exams, you will be notified.
- If you have failed your entrance exam as a self-funded applicant, you cannot retake it within the Stipendium Hungaricum framework. You can apply for a different programme (with a different exam type) as a self-funded student OR provide an exemption document. See the list at the Admission requirements here.
Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship applicants
Applications for the September 2027 intake is expected to open in October.
The application must be submitted via the Hungarian Diaspora scholarship website. The University manages the following steps:
- Admissions process, including entrance examinations (April-May)
- Credit (only on master’s level) and diploma recognition (July)
- Unconditional letter of acceptance for your programme of study (July)
- Enrolment (September)
