Great Results for Corvinus at the MEFOB Fencing Championships!

Students from Corvinus University of Budapest performed exceptionally well at the Hungarian University and College National Championships (MEFOB) held in Szeged. At this prestigious competition, 55 of the country’s top male fencers and 33 of the top female fencers competed in the men’s and women’s épée events, respectively.

In the men’s épée competition, Ádám Keresztes won the gold medal with a spectacular performance, securing the MEFOB championship title for Corvinus.

Additional Corvinus results:

Our students also performed excellently in the women’s épée competition:

We are especially proud that our students represented our university not only successfully but also with sportsmanship and a strong fighting spirit in this prestigious national competition.

Ádám Keresztes: “I expected to make it to the podium even before the competition, but I’m especially happy that I managed to win; winning a competition is always difficult.”

Laura Kozma: “The field was diverse and relatively strong, and I had to fight just to make it into the top 16—against a classmate, no less. Although I was hoping for a medal, second place was a surprise, and I was just one point away from the gold. I’m satisfied, and I’ll definitely compete again next year.”
