Our public affairs don’t depend solely on politicians – Index writes about Corvinus’s public policy programmes

The postgraduate programme in Policy Analysis and Advisory has relaunched at Corvinus University in a part-time, correspondence format. The programme is headed by Gábor Tamás Molnár, Assistant Professor at the Department of Public Policy at the university’s Institute of Social and Political Sciences.

Index spoke with him and Professor György Hajnal, Head of the Department of Public Policy, about who the programme is designed for, why military officers, doctors and pharmacists sometimes enrol, to what extent policy decision-making can be taught, where graduates in policy analysis go on to work, how much the prospect of making a positive social impact motivates young professionals, whether we can expect AI to propose solutions to contentious public issues, and many other interesting questions.
