The results of the Spotlight on Teaching 2026 have been announced

The University community will soon have the opportunity to discover exemplary teaching practices!
Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem

Last spring, the Centre for Teaching and Learning Support launched the Spotlight on Teaching initiative for faculty members. The Centre aims to identify innovative and exemplary teaching practices among University staff that can be successfully applied across different disciplines and courses.

This year, the call was announced jointly with the Office of the Dean for Sustainability. During the summer, faculty members were invited to submit teaching practices that foster student engagement and improve learning outcomes in the areas of ethics, responsibility and sustainability (ERS).

Submission categories:

  1. Integrating ERS Principles into Course Content – “What Do We Teach?”

  1. Impactful and Engaging Learning Experiences – “How Do We Teach?”

  1. Developing Competencies and Mindsets – “Who Do Our Students Become?”

Reflecting the considerable interest in the initiative, a total of 28 outstanding examples of good teaching practice were submitted. Of these, the Evaluation Committee selected the ten best submissions to receive financial awards and recognised four additional entries as particularly outstanding.

The Committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Zoltán Oszkár Szántó, Acting Vice-Rector for Education. Its members included Dr. Kata Dósa, Head of the Centre for Teaching and Learning Support; Katalin Kovács, Methodological Adviser; Prof. Dr. Zsuzsanna Marjainé Szerényi; and Dr. András Ócsai, Assistant Professor. The Office of the Dean for Sustainability was represented by Dr. Katalin Ásványi, Dean, and Mandy Fertetics, Training Specialist. Student perspectives were represented by Ákos Bozai and Zalán Győri.
