Re-application for election by the Doctoral Students’ Union for technical reasons

Due to technical reasons, the organisers requested to submit the applications again and the deadline for nominations has been changed to 15 May.

For technical reasons, we would ask everyone who has submitted their application to send it again to the dokfb@uni-corvinus.hu or peter.bera@uni-corvinus.hu  email address. 

Those who have not yet applied but feel challenged to participate in the work of the Doctoral Student Council should submit their application. The nomination period will be changed until 15 May 2023.

Election of representatives of the Doctoral Student Local Government to the Assembly of Delegates 

The Supervisory Board of the DÖK publishes the following election announcement, for which doctoral schools have the opportunity to involve their new students more actively in the election process of the DÖK. The representatives of the Assembly of Delegates are elected as our doctoral school, one doctoral school forms one constituency.

Persons entitled to nominate and vote  

During the election, all doctoral students with student status in doctoral programmes with the University are electors and can be elected. Doctoral students are entitled to stand as candidates and vote in elections at the doctoral school to which they belong by virtue of their legal relationship. If a doctoral student belongs to more than one doctoral school, he or she is entitled to vote or stand as a candidate in a doctoral school of his or her choice, but not more than once. 

Method, place and date of nomination 

The nomination process is done electronically by sending a nomination from the candidate’s own email address to the email address (dokfb@uni-corvinus.hu) of the Supervisory Board of the DÖK. In order to be valid, the candidate must indicate in the nomination: 

  • full name; 
  • date of birth; 
  • NEPTUN code 
  • the name of the doctoral school in which you stand as a candidate; 
  • optionally, an introductory text of at least 200 and maximum 500 characters. 

The nomination period is 2023.  from  1 March to 15 May 2023. Method, place and date of publication of the identity of the candidates and the data provided by them. The names and introductions of the candidates, broken down by doctoral school, shall be published on the website of the DÖK accessible to anyone, and it shall be ensured that those with voting rights are notified of the fact of publication electronically.  
 
Method, place and time of voting 

Voting is done electronically through the Neptun system, under Administration / Questionnaires menu item, by filling out the appropriate questionnaire. During voting, only candidates of one’s own doctoral school can be voted. A voter may support up to three candidates. The weight of votes shall be identical. No more than one vote may be cast per candidate. A vote is valid if at least one candidate is supported by the voter. The voting period is 16 May 2023 and2021.  June 1 –  It lasts until 12:00. 

At least 10 consecutive working days shall be allowed for voting. If the conditions necessary for the validity and effectiveness of the election are met on working day 10, the vote shall be extended. The choice is valid if at least twenty-five percent of full-time doctoral students have been certified. Elections shall be successful if at least three of the deputies have been elected. 

Method, place and time of publication of voting results 

The candidate who received the highest number of votes per doctoral school becomes a representative. The next two unelected candidates who received the next two highest votes but at least one vote in the same doctoral school in the same doctoral school shall be alternate delegates in the order of the number of votes they receive. The results of the election and the percentage of participation per doctoral school shall be published on the website of the DÖK in a way accessible to anyone, and it shall be ensured that those with voting rights are notified of the publication electronically. 

Legal remedy 

Any doctoral student may lodge a complaint with the Supervisory Board of the DÖK within 3 working days of becoming aware of the fact or circumstance giving rise to the complaint to the Supervisory Board of the DÖK at the following address: dokfb@uni-corvinus.huThe detailed rules for the election can be found in the Statutes of the DÖK.
