The Financial Times still lists Corvinus’ Management and Leadership Master Programme among the world’s one hundred best business training programmes; in fact, in this year, in career support, the University already had the excellent 9th position, and as to value for money, it had the 22nd position. From the Central Eastern European region, only five institutions – including the programme of the Corvinus University of Budapest as the only programme from Hungary – made it to the selection.

Monitoring several hundred business schools in the world, the Financial Times compiled its international ranking in this year, too, for the best management training programmes, and the Management and Leadership Master Programme available at the Corvinus University of Budapest since 2005 has been included in this list, almost without interruption, since the production of the first list. In the list kept by the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland, in the Masters in Management global ranking of the famous British business journal, the programme of Corvinus took the aggregated 98th place in this year.  In the ranking of Hungarian management trainings and career services, the programme had the outstanding 9th place – having improved by 38 places in one single year –, and in this respect, it is before the programmes of the French HEC Paris and the Dutch Erasmus University of Rotterdam (RSM) programmes (2nd and 3rd places respectively in the aggregated list).

The Corvinus Management and Leadership master programme was able to keep its last year’s 22nd position in the top list, according to value for money. The management students of Corvinus will have a promising start in their career, they belong to the middle part of the global top 100 list, both in the respect of finding jobs within a short time, i.e. in three months – in average, 93 per cent of the graduates can do that –, and in the ranking according to progress in the first three years after graduation, in this respect they achieved the 61st place. In both evaluation aspects, the Corvinus programme has improved since last year.

‘We are proud of the fact that we do not only provide our students with high-standard and valuable training, but with an outstanding support to their careers, too, therefore they can lay the foundations of their successful careers for the long term. Our place in the Financial Times list is another proof of the fact that the Corvinus is an internationally competitive and attractive university’, said Előd Takáts, Rector of the University.

From the Central Eastern European region, only the Corvinus University of Budapest made it to the list, from the neighbouring countries, a Czech, an Austrian, a Slovenian and a Polish programme was among the best. The Management and Leadership Master Programme of the Corvinus was renewed in its contents, structure and methodology last year, based on employer and student feedbacks. The University’s Management and Leadership Master Programme means automatic admission to the CEMS MIM (The Global Alliance in Management Education), which is considered one of the best business trainings in international rankings.

Recently the compatibility of the University was indicated by the prestigious acknowledgement that in this year the Corvinus University of Budapest acquired the qualification of one of the most prestigious international organisations in higher education, the AACSB accreditation, which is held by less than 6 per cent of the institutions of higher education offering training programmes in economics around the world.
