To strengthen professional links and expand opportunities in education, research and talent development, the Corvinus University of Budapest and the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) have signed a cooperation agreement. The document was signed on 27 November by Dávid Baranyai, Head of Corporate and Institutional Relations at the university, and István Joó, CEO of HIPA.

Under the agreement, HIPA experts may deliver guest lectures within Corvinus programmes, while Corvinus faculty may take part in HIPA’s academic events. HIPA will also be able to host students for compulsory internships and will gain more direct access to the university community through career events and online channels. In addition, Corvinus has committed to launching tailored executive training programmes for HIPA staff.

“We are pleased to work with HIPA on initiatives that have a positive impact on entrepreneurial mindsets and strengthen creativity. These skills and values are crucial not only for our students’ development as the responsible leaders of the future, but also for the future of the Hungarian economy and society,” said Bruno van Pottelsberghe, Rector of Corvinus, on the occasion of the signing.

István Joó highlighted the practical benefits of the partnership: “Through us, developments using the latest technologies and providing the most modern services arrive in Hungary, so we understand what kinds of jobs will define tomorrow’s economy and what competencies will be needed to fill them. We want to share this knowledge with university students.”

Corvinus continues to expand its network of partnerships year by year, helping students gain real, applicable knowledge and working with organisations on educational, research, and economic initiatives that deliver tangible benefits for society.
