Corvinus competitors performed well at the MATE Cross Run

Despite the rainy, cool, and windy weather, competitors from Corvinus University of Budapest faced water ditches, hay bales, and various man-made obstacles on the course set up in the valley of the Deseda Stream on the grounds of the Pannon Riding Academy. The muddy, slippery terrain posed a major challenge for our students, but despite this, their enthusiasm and results made up for everything. To quote Csilla Szendi: “Although the weather wasn’t the best, we both really enjoyed the competition.” 

Seven higher education institutions registered for the event this year, and in the MEFOB women’s student category, our two competitors, Réka Mészáros and Csilla Szendi finished in 3rd and 4th place, respectively.  

Emőke Mészáros’s statement on the race: “This year’s Cross Run presented a real challenge for our two female students, as they didn’t give up the fight despite the harsh weather—they stuck to their resolve and won!”
