At the joint hackathon organised by Corvinus and Nokia, you’ll have the opportunity to tackle a real-world financial challenge using artificial intelligence while gaining valuable professional experience. 

What is the challenge? 

What if finance professionals could identify balance sheet risks and anomalies before the monthly closing process? 

At the Nokia Hackathon 2026, you and your team will have the opportunity to design an AI-powered Finance Intelligence Layer that helps finance professionals detect anomalies, understand their root causes and prioritise risks. 

Who can participate? 

Whether you’re a Bachelor’s or Master’s student, you can take part in the competition and even invite students from other universities to join your team. (It’s worth teaming up with students from different academic backgrounds, as diverse knowledge and experience can give you an advantage during the challenge.) 

No coding experience is required. Your team will receive an anonymised sample dataset, and you can freely choose which tools to use, whether it’s Excel, Power BI, Python, low-code platforms or generative AI. 

Throughout the development phase, Nokia’s finance and AI experts will support you and your team through weekly Q&A sessions. 

Final and prizes 

If your team is selected among the five best by the jury, you’ll have the opportunity to present your solution live at Nokia Skypark Budapest on 4 December.
