What does the programme offer? 

The programme consists of two parts: 

• Online training: A self-paced course lasting approximately 6 hours, where you will learn how artificial intelligence can be used responsibly and ethically to address global social and sustainability challenges. Upon completing the course, you will receive a UNITAR Certificate of Completion. 

• Global Challenge: After completing the course, you can present your own AI-based idea for addressing a social challenge in a short written submission in English. 

The top 10 participants in the international competition will win an all-expenses-paid trip to the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, where they will have the opportunity to attend the award ceremony. 

The University will cover the participation fee, subject to available funding. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
