The partnership aims to strengthen the links between academic knowledge, student work and business practice. As part of the cooperation, students will have the opportunity to take part in hackathons and mentoring programmes with Nokia experts, as well as gain experience through guest lectures and projects based on real business challenges.

Nokia experts may also support students with their theses and Scientific Students’ Associations (TDK) research, while the partnership may provide internship opportunities. The cooperation will also encourage two-way knowledge sharing: Corvinus lecturers and researchers may become involved in Nokia projects, while the company can contribute its practical experience and expert knowledge to university programmes.

“It is important to us that our students are exposed during their university years to business environments where digital technologies, data and business decision-making are closely connected. The programmes planned with Nokia will give them opportunities to work on relevant, real-world market questions, engage in valuable professional dialogue and build direct connections with the business world,” said Bruno van Pottelsberghe, Rector of Corvinus University of Budapest.

“For Nokia, cooperation with higher education provides an important opportunity to bring academic knowledge and business practice closer together. Through our partnership with Corvinus, we want to support students’ professional development by involving them in real business challenges, while their fresh perspectives and ideas can also enrich the way we think about innovation,” said Béla Zagyva on behalf of Nokia.

The partnership provides a long-term framework for developing joint knowledge projects, student programmes and professional links between the university and the company. The initiative aims to create valuable experiences and new perspectives for students, lecturers, researchers and Nokia experts alike.

Corvinus University of Budapest’s corporate partnerships aim to develop innovative knowledge projects with leading companies and institutions. Through knowledge sharing, professional experience and development opportunities, these collaborations are designed to create results that can be used by students, academic staff and employees of partner organisations.
