17 Mar. 2026, 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
The Department of Mathematics is hosting a new seminar series title Applied Analysis Seminar which will be held roughly every two weeks on Tuesday from 14:00.
2026.03.17. 14:00 – 2026.03.17. 15:00
Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem

Location: Corvinus University of Budapest, Sóház, EA2.

Language of the event: English

The lecture will cover topics on mathematical analysis and its various applications. Our first speaker is prof. Takashi Sano from Yamagata University in Japan.

Title of his talk: Loewner and Kraus matrices

Abstract: “We would like to talk about (our) results on monotone/convex matrix functions: examples, characterizations, eigenvalues of Loewner/Kraus matrices of power functions, and so on.”
