The Department of Geography, Geoeconomy, and Sustainable Development announced a new GEO Lecture under the title “New Thoughts on Defining Classical Geopolitics” by Professor Phil Kelly (Roe R. Cross Distinguished Professor of Political Science at Emporia State University), which will be held on 07 March.

In the times of turmoil and uncertainty that we are living in today, it matters to reflect upon what “Geopolitics” exactly means and how can it help to understand International Relations. Is geopolitics a science? Does it have a body of concepts, a theoretical approach? Is geopolitics a political agenda, after all? Professor Kelly will answer these and other questions defining geopolitics and explaining how to apply his model.

The language of the lecture is English.

The webinar will be available on MS Teams.

You can find more information at the Facebook event.
