With transposing the EU Clean Energy Package into national law new actors will enter the European energy markets. Frameworks developed for renewable energy communities, as defined by the recast Renewable Energy Directive and citizen energy communities, as introduced in the Internal Electricity Market Directive will enable prosumers to organize themselves and act collectively when consuming, selling, storing or even sharing their electricity. Aggregators will play an important role as intermediaries between old and new customer groups and the market.

The aim of the bilingual online event is to present the EU framework for energy communities and aggregators to stakeholders of the Central and Eastern European region and to show best practices of already functional models.

In the second part of the event we will give the floor to Hungarian representatives of the energy sector to discuss current practices of aggregation in Hungary, and the needs for further transposition of the Clean Energy Package related to energy communities and aggregators.

Agenda of the event.

Participation is free, please register here.

Please note, that the presentations in the first part of the event will be held in English, while the panel discussion will be held in Hungarian.
