Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem

Date: 8 May 2026, 16:00-17:30

Location: Corvinus University of Budapest, Building C, Lecture Hall VII. (1093 Budapest, Közraktár Street 4–6.)

The roundtable discussion will be held in English in a hybrid format. Information about streaming availability will be provided later.

During the event, we would like to hear their views on a number of topics. How do they view the relationship between Hungary and the European Union today? In a world that many consider to be in a state of polycrisis, how do they view the European Union’s position, and what opportunities do they see for the Union to strengthen its competitiveness on the global stage and become a major power in world politics? Is it necessary to change the institutional functioning of the European Union to achieve this? If so, how? Should cooperation among member states be strengthened, or should national sovereignty be reinforced? Is the Union an economic, political, or values-based community, or perhaps a combination of these? How do you think the results of the latest election will affect Hungary’s position within the European Union?

About the participants:

The event is part of European Union Week, organized by the TUM School of Management, with participation of several top universities across Europe.
