Future social entrepreneurs are invited to an information event organised by Corvinus Science Shop and Impact Hub Budapest
A social entrepreneurship idea competition called Social Impact Award is launched, the information day will be held in cooperation with Corvinus Science Shop at Gellért Campus.

The Social Impact Award (SIA) supports early-stage social entrepreneurs to develop and implement innovative business solutions that address a societal challenge.
The programme provides an opportunity for the most promising social startups to showcase themselves to a wide range of stakeholders at national and international level, while serving as a credential for potential funding partners. Award winners will also receive funding and will be eligible to participate in the annual Summit, an international gathering of promising social entrepreneurs from all SIA countries.
The annual programme is currently in its preparatory phase, which includes an information event at Corvinus where students interested in social entrepreneurship or committed to solving societal problems can learn more about the programme.
To take part in the programme, it is not necessary to have an idea, as participants can also join the 70-minute-long Idea Generation workshop, where they can explore opportunities using the Social Business Canvas (empowered by SIA). The event will provide an opportunity to recruit team members and build stronger networks, too.
The application period runs until 27th May, after which an expert jury names the ideas for the summer incubation programme. SIA then selects 3 winners from the incubation teams at the end of September, who each receives a prize of €1000-1500 to strengthen and further develop their initiative or social enterprise.
