Date: 7 May 2024, Tuesday, 9:30-15:30

Location: Corvinus University, Building E Aula

The Corvinus Farmers’ Market will be held again in the spring semester, exceptionally at a new location in the lobby of Building E. In parallel with the Farmers’ Market, the National Chamber of Agriculture and Corvinus University of Budapest will organise a professional event and market demonstration entitled “Farmers’ Market in the 21st Century”.

Current and former students will be among the producers, so the talks with them will be an opportunity to learn about the products and to tell their stories about their journey from school to their family or own farm. The number of producers will be much higher this time, as they will be coming from all over the country with different products for the special day.

The market is expected to feature a range of products including spring seasonal vegetables and fruit, dairy products, fruit juice, honey, cheese, chilli products, microgreens, syrups, jams and meat products. When shopping, it is advisable to bring a canvas bag so that the products can be packed in sustainable packaging, and cash, as card payment will not be available everywhere.

The market will be organised by Gréta Maró, PhD student at Corvinus, Áron Török, Head of the Department of Agricultural Economics and Zalán Márk Maró, Assistant Professor at the Department of Agricultural Economics.
