Economic life “At the Danube” – Accounting history, or economic micro-history
Opening of a special exhibition at the University Library and a discussion on Hungarian Poetry Day.Date: 11 April 2024 17.30
Location: Corvinus University of Budapest Library
“If you are sitting down on the Danube, it is only natural that you can reach the website of any company on your phone in a split second, see the products of that company, learn about its production processes. But how did someone get all this information before the internet? How could a business get its message about its company, its products and services across to customers and potential customers?
The best way to do this was through company documents, such as invoices and business letters. They were provided with artwork, presenting the results achieved, and confidence-building presentations to encourage purchases.” (Csilla Sallai)
