Zsófia Hajnal is an assistant professor at the Department of Economics, Budapest University of Technology and Economics, and a junior research fellow at the Institute of World Economics, Centre for Economic and Regional Studies. She graduated from the World Economics PhD Program at Corvinus University of Budapest. Drawing on her doctoral dissertation, she will guide the audience through building her moral economic synthesis step by step, starting from the puzzle pieces of human needs, selflessness, and value creation, and assembling them into a coherent picture of what a moral economy could look like.
Rather than a conventional slide presentation, the talk unfolds as a hand-drawn, evolving argument, which is meant to be an invitation to think alongside the reasoning as it takes shape, not just to hear its conclusions.
