New academic year – new search interface

A fresh, clean interface welcomes users after starting a search from the library’s home page. The renewed interface is the result of two years of ongoing development. Most of the existing features (search, save results, add-ons) work, there are not any changes in content. The previous Yewno semantical search engine has been replaced by the aggregator’s (EBSCO) own Concept Map.
Where to look for what?
In SuperSearch, we recommend primarily topic search, using search techniques (truncation, logical operators, etc.) and field narrowing.
In Publications (aka Journals/E-book search) you can search for fulltext print and online journals and e-books. Start the search with the title of the journal or book, even if you want to find an article or a book chapter.
The catalogue continues to reflect the physical holdings of the library, containing mainly printed books.
Modifications of the platform have been mirrored at the opening page of the library and an updated information sheet help users in orientation. More detailed information on how to use the search engines is provided in the different training sessions.
