Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem

The Grant Project Management Unit has been preparing for widening Corvinus researchers’ knowledge of Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe grants.

Project managers of the unit have completed several courses on H2020 project management and financing. They have been managing the implementation of H2020 grants won by Corvinus recently. Currently we are participating in a course in HE management which consists of project and finance management issues and consulting topics with researchers such as partner seeking, interpretation of calls, proposal writing, etc.

Based on requests we started consultations with researchers of different university departments where we give assistance with finding appropriate calls to submit proposals to in the field of their research.

The consultations and courses are delivered by Dr. Borbála Schenk, who is an EU research funding advisor specialized in European research funding framework programmes (H2020, Horizon Europe). The focus of her consultancy work is to assist institutions in the EU-13/Widening countries in strengthening their presence on the EU research funding scene. We have been working successfully with her for more than a year now.

Several institutions have attended our courses so far – for instance colleagues from the Marketing Institution, from the World Economy Institution, and also from CIAS.

Altogether 7 courses were held to all the applicants starting with an information course about the new aspects of Horizon Europe compared to Horizon 2020 and 8 unique consultations for smaller groups of researchers.

During these events we are keen on supporting all initiatives raised to encourage our experts to participate in these projects, to widen their visibility in the international scene of their scientific field.

As the calls of the new Horizon Europe grants are to be announced soon, more international events are being organized in the preparation period:

– a consortium building event series focusing on the clusters organized by KTN Global Alliance and UK National Contract Points:

  • Cluster 1-2: June 14
  • Cluster 3-4: June 17
  • Cluster 5-6: June 21.

– Registration here.

– the European Committee holds information days on 9 topics of the pillars and clusters of Horizon Europe from June 28 to July 9. More information can be found here.

– On June 9 a webinar will be available focusing on the obligatory dissemination and exploitation of project results at this link.

All inquiries of CUB researchers are very welcome at horizon@uni-corvinus.hu, where our colleagues answer questions or organize a consultation on the topics mentioned.

Last, but not least we would like to draw your attention to the website of the Corvinus Centre for Horizon Europe that is being updated regularly with new content on international grant opportunities.
