Fundraising quiz at the Garden Party

The university will double the raised amount and donate it to Toldi Tanoda.
Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem

At Thursday’s Garden Party, we are organizing a quiz game related to reading to raise funds. By participating in the quiz, each of our colleagues will raise HUF 1,000, which the university will then double and donate to Toldi Tanoda, established by Igazgyöngy Foundation.

The Toldi Tanoda program was launched in 2012 for schoolchildren, and since 2014 it has also been offering educational and community support to preschoolers. The goal is to provide support to disadvantaged children and their families from ages 0 to 18. The school believes in the power of early intervention, so they also work with expectant mothers. Through individual development and community programs, they aim to instill in every child an inner motivation to pursue a constructive life path.

They mainly support children with competence development activities, for example, with the help of family mentors, they help parents to encourage their children’s language development. Many of their initiatives are related to reading. For older children, shared storytelling and poetry recitals are replaced by vocabulary expansion and reading comprehension development. In secondary school clubs, the focus is on developing a culture of debate.

Social responsibility and promoting equal opportunities are of paramount importance to Corvinus University of Budapest, and in this spirit, we hope that as many people as possible will participate in the fundraising campaignWith the support of the foundation, Corvinus contributes to giving as many young people as possible the opportunity to develop their talents and build successful careers, regardless of their starting circumstances.

Everyone is warmly welcome to the Autumn Garden Party on September 18, starting at 4:30 PM. You can read more about the event in this intranet article.
