12 August 1945, 11:00 AM. Two mysterious strangers dressed in black arrive at a rural Hungarian train station, carrying an enigmatic shipment. The villagers, living under the shadow of Soviet occupation, are preparing for the registrar’s son’s wedding — yet the bride’s former fiancé has just returned home from a POW camp. Within a few hours, everything changes. Secrets surface, sins demand reckoning, love falters, betrayal unfolds, and long‑avoided confrontations finally come to light.
Our guest is director Ferenc Török.
