The drastic increase in energy prices experienced last year has led many municipalities to consider converting their heating systems to renewable energy sources in order to increase the independence and greening of local energy supply and to increase security of supply. But what are the options and how can we start on the path towards community heating based on renewable energy sources? The event will look at how individual gas heating can be replaced by small-scale district heating systems based on biomass, geothermal or other renewable energy sources.

Participants will hear about the experiences of two successful geothermal and biomass projects and learn about the OGRE, a national geothermal database. The presentations will be followed by a round table discussion with experts in the design, construction and operation of geothermal and biomass district heating systems to discuss the main challenges and possible solutions for the transition to renewable heating.

Participation in the online event is free of charge, but registration is required.
