Energy Industry for the Future – Professional Roundtable Discussion

This November, we invite you to a special professional forum designed exclusively for Corvinus students. The roundtable discussion will explore questions submitted by you — the student community — including topics like Paks II, short term and long term consequences of reducing dependence on Russian gas, new EU energy directives, the future of solar development without grid development, and many other current issues.
Date: November 17, 2025. 17:30
Venue: Corvinus University of Budapest, Building E, Lecture Hall III.
Roundtable participants:
-
Diána Ürge-Vorsatz, Professor at CEU and Vice Chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, UN
-
Gábor Králik, Deputy President of the Hungarian Energy and Public Utility Regulatory Authority (MEKH)
-
Sándor Kerekes, Professor Emeritus at Corvinus University
-
Gergely Szabó, Regional Chairman of MET Central Europe
The discussion will be moderated by a Corvinus student, representing your questions and you’ll also have the opportunity to ask the experts directly. We want this to be a transparent, personal forum where you can engage with professionals who not only talk about the future of energy, but actively shape it.
Following the roundtable, a standing reception will offer a chance for informal conversations, sharing ideas, and networking with the speakers.
The event will be held in Hungarian, and is not open to the press, participation is limited to pre-registered Corvinus students only.
The forum is supported by MET Group.
Participation is free, but registration is required. Don’t miss out!
