2025.11.25. 17:00
Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem

Date: 25 November 2025, 17:00

Location: Corvinus University of Budapest, University Library

The aim of the event is to examine the growing problem of electronic waste from multiple perspectives. We strive to raise awareness of the importance of conscious consumption and how each of our decisions can contribute to a more sustainable future. Participants will also gain insight into the impact of rapidly changing technology and constant device replacement on our environment. We will discuss the global and local challenges of e-waste management and the role of responsible decision-making in this process.

The discussion will also touch on how our overly convenient, “disposable” lifestyle came about. We will analyze the psychological processes associated with rapid consumption and why the compulsion to constantly “replace” has become natural for many people. We will highlight how simpler solutions often hide long-term environmental burdens. Together, we will look for alternatives that reduce the amount of electronic waste. Through thought-provoking examples, we will show how we can make more responsible decisions in our everyday lives. The event aims to inspire everyone to develop a more conscious and sustainable lifestyle.
