Final Examination Process

Thesis submission and final examination 2020/2021 spring semester

  • Who uploaded their Thesis as described above.
  • Who strated their studies in the first grade in the 2012/2013 academic year and submitted their Thesis in the spring semester 2018/2019 academic year or later, and obtained the final certificate (absolutory) in the 2015/2016 academic year or later.
Students can be released to take the Final Examination if:

  • have submitted their Thesis work
  • they have btained the final or pre-degree certificate (absolved status)**
  • have no financial obligations towards the university.
** Obtaining the absolved status means that the student has completed the necessary credits in the stucture prescribed by the study programme, within the maximum length of the training period prescribed in the given programme.
Simultaneously with the submission of the Thesis work, it is necessary to make a declaration (fill out the questionnaire) about the final examination application in the system corresponding to the training (Moodle/Neptun). Students who do not submit their Thesis work in the spring semester of the 2020/2021 academic year must also apply for the Final examination.
  • Exam period for students who will take the Final Examination in the spring semester of the 2020/2021 academic year: Monday, 17th May, 2021 – Saturday, 5th June, 2021.
  • Students who take an examination after 5th June 2021, cannot participate in the 2020/2021/Spring semester Final examination.
  • Students who registered for courses in the spring semester of the 2020/2021 academic year, must have all their grades entered in NEPTUN until Thursday, 10th June, 2021 at the latest, otherwise they will not be allowed to participate in the Final Examination
Requirements to receive the degree certificate:

  • the student has completed all academic requirements in the given study programme
  • the student has presented the document(s) proving the completion of the prescribed language requirement(s) (=presented the language exam certificate(s))

Information on the degree certificate and the language exam:

According to the direction of the Higher Education Act, the degree certificate will be issued in Hungarian and in English.
  • If the degree certificate cannot be issued due to the student not completing the prescribed language exam requirement, then the University prepares a certificate proving this (The certificate will only be available upon the particular request of the student).
  • The degree certificate will be issued within 30 days after the presentation of the document proving the completion of the language exam.
This is to inform students taking the Final Examination that – irrespectively of the date of the reception of the degree certificate – their student status will be terminated on the last day of the Final Examination period, i.e. on 26th June, 2021 according to the Academic Calendar.
