Researches and projects
The Department focuses its activities, within the field of operations research, in a broad sense, primarily on transforming economic decision-making problems (occurring in practice) into mathematical models, and applying and developing methods for analysing and optimizing such models.
The main areas of research at the Department include: game theory, mathematical programming, stable pairing, multivariate statistics, decision theory, actuarial mathematics. Within actuarial mathematics, we focus on the modelling of mortality and pension systems.
