With a Corvinus degree you can get a salary advantage of up to several hundred thousand forints

From among the graduates completed their Bachelor programme nine years ago, Corvinus graduates have the highest average gross wages in the country. For example, the bachelor’s degree in International Management stands out, which currently earns 994 thousand forints, 282 thousand forints more per month than the average salary of graduates of other similar study programmes at the same time.

The latest data from the Graduate Career Tracking System (DPR) have been made public, showing that from among the graduates completed their Bachelor programme nine years ago in economics, Corvinus graduates earn the highest average gross salary in the country, on average 207 thousand forints more than the average gross salary of all graduates with a degree in economics.  

 

You can earn the most with these degrees in economics at Corvinus 

The salary advantage of Corvinus graduates who completed their studies nine years ago with a bachelor’s degree in international management is the highest: the average salary with this degree is 994 thousand forints, which is 282 thousand forints more than the average salary of graduates with a similar degree at the same time at other universities. The current salary of those graduated in Business and Management in 2014 is 892 thousand forints (252 thousand forints more than the average for the field of expertise), in Finance 875 thousand forints (218 thousand forints more than the average), in HR 796 thousand forints (174 thousand forints more than an average HR). 

From among the master’s degrees, graduates from Corvinus can also earn the most, on average up to 160-180 thousand forints more than graduates with similar master’s degrees in other Hungarian universities. The average salary of a Corvinus graduate who completed their studies in Finance nine years ago is now 1.1 million forints a month, while the average salary of a Business Development graduate is 943 thousand forints. On average, a Corvinus graduate in Management and Organization earns 935 thousand forints, while a master’s degree in Marketing here earns 826 thousand forints. 

 

Social science degrees of Corvinus are also worth gold  

A Corvinus bachelor’s degree in Political Science, obtained nine years ago, offers the highest salary: 871 thousand forints a month, 238 thousand forints more than their competitors. Similarly, a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Studies completed in 2013-14 can also earn good money, with an average salary of 645 thousand forints, 176 thousand forints more than the income of graduates with a similar degree.  

From among the Master programmes, the highest earnings in Hungary in this category are achieved with a Corvinus Master’s degree in Political Science or Communication and Media Studies completed nine years ago: 800 thousand and 670 thousand forints per month, which is 144 thousand and 73 thousand forints more than the average monthly wage of their competitors. 

 

Up to 1.3-1.4 times more wage with a Corvinus BsC degree than the average for a business graduate at the same time 

Overall, a graduate who completed their Bachelor programme at Corvinus in 2013-14 can earn up to 1.3-1.4 times more than the average for a business graduate at the same time. This wage is also 2.3 times the average income in the county where the employee lives. From among the students with a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Corvinus students also take the lead, with wages 1.9 times the average income in the county where the employee lives.  

It is also worth graduating from the Corvinus’ Master programmes: the current average salary of the Corvinus Master’s graduates who completed their studies in economics nine years ago is 2.4 times the average salary in their county of residence, and the salary of Master’s graduates who completed their studies in social sciences nine years ago is twice the average salary in the county, both of which are among the top 3 Hungarian university results. The average job placement time for Corvinus graduates is only 1 month, compared to 1.5 months for the average recent graduate.
