Thinking Out of the CUBE – international case competition at Corvinus

2024-04-24 11:00:00

With great pleasure, we announce the success of Corvinus Undergraduate Business Experience 2024 international case competition, held between April 4th and 12th.
Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem

The competition, jointly organized by Corvinus University and Corvinus Case Track Community (CCTC), was a remarkable journey filled with unforgettable experiences and excitement for all participants. Teams from 16 different countries spanning 4 continents – Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia – came together to compete.

Participants tackled three professional cases provided by leading Hungarian companies across various industries. From NN Insurance’s life insurance segment challenge to Mertcontrol Group’s agricultural sector scenario and Tremau Trust & Safety’s call for innovative strategies in software and consultancy services, contestants navigated through a spectrum of real-world business dilemmas. Competitors had different time intervals to solve these cases, ranging from two weeks to twenty-four hours and seven hours, allowing them to earn placement in various categories or overall performance recognition. Beyond the competitive arena, participants engaged in numerous business workshops, enriching their professional perspectives within the framework of CUBE. Viktor Dörfler’s lecture on “AI or Intuition? Friends or Foes?” provided every attendee with invaluable insights.

The climax of the competition was the final showdown on April 11th, where the top 4 out of the 16 outstanding teams competed head-to-head. The finalists delivered high-quality presentations, showcasing innovative yet practical solutions in professional business consulting manner, supported by exhaustive market research and analysis. These presentations provided valuable lessons for the audience.

With great pleasure, we declare the overall winners of CUBE 2024:

1st place: Tidal Consulting – The University of Melbourne
