The 2024 CheckINN Tourism Innovation Competition is on! Enter now!
2024-09-16 09:13:00CheckINN will be open again on 16 September. If you're interested in tourism and have innovative ideas, don't hesitate! The competition is open to individuals and teams of three, and the prize is a free scholarship of 1,000,000 HUF per person.
This year, the sixth edition of the contest will take you into new waters, with a focus on tourism at Lake Balaton.
A new feature of the 2024 competition is that not only teams of three, but also individual participants will have the opportunity to compete for the net HUF 1,000,000 scholarship. During the multi-stage competition, the winners will benefit from a professional mentoring programme.
Entry categories
There are three thematic categories:
- “Experiences all year round!” (The Balaton in Four Seasons)
- “Renew it!” (Quality renewal and regeneration of existing services)
- “Lake Balaton for Everyone” (Expanding the target audience of Lake Balaton, reaching new target groups)
What to submit?
In the first round, you will have to submit an elevator pitch video of up to 3 minutes, introducing yourself, your team and the innovation you have come up with.

The deadline for the first-round video is midnight 15 October 2024.
