On 19 November 2024, the Constitutional Court rejected Dr Zoltán Ádám's appeal regarding ethical procedures at the University, thereby concluding the case.
Budapesti Corvinus Egyetem

Our former lecturer had appealed to the Constitutional Court following the Curia’s judgement, which rejected his earlier appeal against ethics-related decisions. He filed the constitutional complaint on the grounds that the legal proceedings he had allegedly resulted in a judgment that violated constitutional principles.

The Constitutional Court determined that the courts had acted appropriately and that Zoltán Ádám’s right to a fair trial had not been infringed. The judges’ decisions were found to be in accordance with the Constitution, and no significant constitutional issues were identified. As a result, the Constitutional Court ruled that the complaint was inadmissible.

The decision by the Constitutional Court is independent of the case currently pending before the Labour Court, which remains ongoing.
