Donate blood and win a MacBook!

The National Blood Service (OVSz) and the Hungarian Red Cross (MVK) are inviting higher education students to donate blood under the motto “Donate blood, let it be your flow!”. Following last year’s great success, the Higher Education Blood Donation Weeks will be held in the weeks before the exam period, between 18 March and 17 May 2024.   

The almost two-month campaign is one of the flagship events of the year-long Higher Education Blood Drive. It aims to reach young people and highlight the importance of social responsibility. It will give students the opportunity to meet and experience this form of support in their own institutions. This year, more than 30 higher education institutions across the country will provide blood donation opportunities for staff and students. In addition, university students wishing to donate blood are also welcome to donate at blood establishments and other events.    

As last year, the campaign will end with a prize draw to win tickets and passes to a number of festivals throughout the summer. 

Grand prize: a Macbook courtesy of the Szerencsejáték Zrt.   

Other prizes: the same festival tickets as in previous years will be raffled off, offered by Strand, Sziget, EFOTT, Sound and Volt festivals!   

To take part in the game, all blood donors need to do is to indicate in the registration form that they are registering to donate blood as part of the higher education blood donation campaign and to name the higher education institution they represent.
