EcoVeloTour project, a three-year international project with the participation of Corvinus University of Budapest (CUB), will be completed on September 30th, 2021. The aim of the project was the promotion of sustainable tourism, particularly the development of cyclist tourism along the international cycle routes crossing the Danube region. The lead partner of the project was Zugló Municipality of Budapest. Besides Zugló, a further nine project partners from seven countries along the Danube have carried out project activities. 

The Library is proud to share the news of some recent opportunities open to all Corvinus researchers. These include a new data base, fresh journal rankings and free open access publishing.

A highly topical article has recently been published by CUB researchers in Statisztikai Szemle (Volume 99, No. 6.). The paper examines the economic prospects for biotechnology industry, focusing on the situation in Hungary. The paper is gap-filling, because the economic performance of the Hungarian biotechnology sector has not been analysed and evaluated in the last ten years, despite the global tendencies of biotechnology industries and biotech R&D companies driving economic growth.

The 22nd Annual International Conference on Digital Government Research was organized virtually in Omaha, Nebraska, USA between 9 and 11 of July 2021. Corvinus Associate Professor Csaba Csáki attended the conference owned and run by the Digital Government Society (https://dgsociety.org/).

Corvinus Faculty is kindly invited to the book launch of the volume The Visegrád Countries and Brazil, edited by Associate Professor Sándor Gyula Nagy of the Department of World Economy. The event will take place at the Hungarian Diplomatic Academy (1016 Budapest, Bérc utca 13-15.) at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 5th October 2021.
