Lecturer – AÉB/36/2025

The Institute of Data Analytics and Information Systems announces an open call for applications for the Lecturer position for 3 years definite period.

The starting date is autumn semester 2025.

Job description and key duties:

  • Teaching duties:
    • Participation in the teaching, organising, and developing of subjects related to the Institute of Data Analytics and Information Systems related to statistics and data analytics.
    • Undergraduate and graduate thesis supervision, exam and final exam committee participation.
  • Research duties:
    • Participation in research activities of the Institute of Data Analytics and Information Systems
  • Service duties:
    • Active participation in the professional public life of the Institute of Data Analytics and Information Systems and the University, performing service tasks determined by the Head of the Institute.

Qualifications and experience:

  • master’s degree or equivalent qualification;
  • at least 10 years of professional-practical experience;
  • being adequately prepared to teach at the required level of standard (having the knowledge, experience, and foreign language skills) in the discipline of the courses

Preferences:

  • Teaching experience in higher education in the field of enterprise resource management systems (SAP) and business informatics
  • Verifiable teaching development activity (curriculum development, methodological development)
  • Student evaluation verifying teaching excellence

Documents and certificates to be submitted as part of the application:

  • Curriculum Vitae including a detailed presentation of teaching, research and service activities and results
  • Cover letter, including the presentation of future academic plans (educational, teaching development and research plans)
  • References written by at least two reputable leading professors or researchers of the discipline (signed, scanned)
  • Doctoral dissertation
  • Scanned copies of the documents verifying the university degree, scientific rank (eg. PhD degree) and of the documents verifying other professional qualifications. (In case of scientific ranks obtained abroad, the nostrification will be arranged in the next phase of the selection procedure.)
