Candidate of the Doctoral School of Economics and Business Informatics:

I am about to start my third year in the doctoral program in Economics. Having studied and worked at universities in the Netherlands and the USA, I have seen great examples of academic environments that support the flourishing of young researchers. I wish to bring these experiences to the Doctoral Student Council. I believe that representation can play a key role in ensuring that doctoral students’ wishes and concerns are heard and addressed. As a former social worker, I am particularly interested in the social and equity aspects of the work of the student council. If elected, I would like to prioritize strengthening communication between the council and students. I find this essential to better identify their needs and effectively represent them.
