Associate Professor – AÉB/32/2026

Teaching duties:

• Teaching of subjects belonging to the education portfolio of the Institute of Marketing and Communication Sciences in weekly class hours as defined by the Academic Career Model.
• Taking part in educational activities in the Communication Science Doctoral Program of the Doctoral School of Sociology and Communication Science.

Research duties:

• Writing articles in prestigious international and domestic journals in the field of media studies and/or communication studies
• Participating in important international and domestic conferences, building international scientific relationships, getting involved in research projects, and actively applying research in the field of media studies and/or communication studies, thus securing the resources for the research projects and contributing to the internationalization of the Institute and the University.
• Taking part in research activities in the Communication Science Doctoral Program of the Doctoral School of Sociology and Communication Science.

Service duties:

• Active participation in the professional life of the Institute of Marketing and Communication Sciences, and the University, performing service tasks determined by the head of the Institute.
• Supporting early-career academics at the university, supervising PhD students, as well as students participating in student competitions.
• Mentoring assistant professor colleagues in the Institute.
• Mentoring PhD students in the Communication Science Doctoral Program of the Doctoral School of Sociology and Communication Science

Basic requirements

• PhD degree acquired at least 5 years ago;
• appropriate teaching/research experience in higher education,
• an outstanding teaching and research record in their branch of science;
• independent research activity;
• ability to teach in English, and to act as a course leader and PhD supervisor.

• at least two professional references (one of which must be from a Hungarian expert if the call is published in Hungarian);
• results of lecturer’s previous student evaluations;
