The CEMS Graduation Ceremony at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre with 1241 students of 63 nationalities receiving their diploma was a huge success.
Out of the 43 graduating Corvinus students 23 were there to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Global Alliance.

Alumni Event 2018

”Wow, it used to look completely different!” People looked around with astonishment as they entered the recently refurbished, exclusive Corvinus Faculty Club, which used to be the favourite party place of students in the old days.

On May 24, Corvinus Business School organized a CEMS Alumni event with around 50 participants from 15 different class years. Dean Prof. Dr. Zita Zoltay-Paprika warmly welcomed the former students, then Dr. Richard Szanto, CEMS Academic Director gave an update on the recent developments of the Global Alliance. The guest of the evening was Mr. Joerg Bauer, CEMS Alumnus of the University of Cologne, who spent his exchange semester at Corvinus in 1996. The former President of GE Hungary is currently the owner, CEO and President of Tungsram Group, a company resulting from the purchase of GE Lighting business in Hungary, with over 4,000 staff. Mr. Bauer (second from the left in the picture) shared with us stories of his life and career, and answered myriad questions of the enthusiastic audience.

The rest of the evening was about reviving old and recent memories: we had CEMS Alumni from 15 different class years there.
